Cherokee, NC- The Cherokee Lady Braves volleyball team has been on a tear this season. Coming in to tonight’s match vs Swain County, the Lady Braves were 6-2 overall including 2 huge victories over Pisgah (twice) and North Henderson.
The Lady Braves made quick work of their SMC opponent Swain County on the Devils home floor, sweeping the Maroon Machine in three set, 25-14, 25-16, & 25-12.
This makes the fifth straight sweep on the volleyball court for the Lady Braves in as many games, and they have put themselves in a great position to contend for the Smoky Mountain Conference Title for the first time ever, following a 2022 season where they set the school record for wins in a season.
The Lady Braves will host Highlands on Thursday before heading to 3A West Henderson on Monday.
